Plastic Tubing
Plastic tubing of various lengths and bores constructed of materials suitable for general laboratory, biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, medical, vacuum, low-pressure, high-pressure, cleanroom or environmental applications. Products may be chemical- or corrosion-resistant. Formulated for resistance to flex fatigue and abrasion, plastic tubing is more flexible and less permeable than rubber tubing.
How Is Plastic Tubing Used?
Flexible plastic tubing may be used as transfer lines for contamination fluid control, hydraulics, protective jacketing, vacuum pump and diaphragm pump feeds and discharges, refrigeration, water and fluid lines, food and beverage, instrumentation, research laboratories, agriculture, material handling, air and gas lines, chemical lines and pharmaceuticals.
Types of Plastic Tubing:
• PVC: lightweight and flexible, will retain its bore on bending and can be sterilized up to 121°C
• Silicone: ideal where a hard-wearing material is needed, including transfer of liquids or higher temperature environments
• LDPE: good for general low pressure and temperature, instrumentation, corrosive atmosphere, and food processing
• PTFE: has excellent chemical-resistant and temperature-resistant properties
• PE: flexible, lightweight, durable, and corrosion resistant, used for a wide range of liquid, gas, and fluid transfer applications
• FEP: clear, small-diameter tubing, the economical choice for chemical resistance and broad temperature exposure
• PEEK: high-performance polymer with mechanical and chemical resistance, and highly resistant to thermal degradation

C-Flex is the original patented thermoplastic elastomer tubing specifically designed to meet the critical demands of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical applications for fluid processing. C-Flex tubing for Biopharma Manufacturing is specifically designed for aseptic welding connections and sealing disconnection. C-Flex is suitable for sterilization by gamma irradiation and autoclave. C-Flex is moldable, bondable and formable ideal for single-use assemblies, overmolds, tubing and bags manifolds. C-Flex tubing is manufactured from pharmaceutical-grade thermoplastic elastomer, is fully characterized, validated and tested to a variety of specifications. Extensive biological, chemical, physical properties and extractable testing is available to assist in the validation of C-Flex application. Sealable and weldable either pre- or post-sterilization. Sterilizable by gamma irradiation and autoclave. Complies with USP Class VI and ISO standards.

Applications: General-purpose lab uses requiring high performance and long life. Characteristics: Exceptional tensile and tear strength, good biocompatibility, excellent chemical resistance, low gas permeability, and a smooth surface. Opaque white. Certification: Resin meets USP Class VI requirements. Tubing is manufactured according to GMP. Temperature range: -50 to 275¿F (-45 to 135¿C) Sterilize: With autoclave, ethylene oxide, or gamma irradiation.
